Q: Will you continue online Zoom classes after the pandemic?
A: YES! I'm not sure what my schedule will be, but I will have some online classes available.
Q: Where will you teach when the pandemic is over?
A: I'm not sure at this point. Most of the yoga studios I used to teach at have closed their physical locations (Yoga Within, Body & Soul Yoga, Willow Glen Yoga, Samyama Yoga Center). I'll see as it becomes safe to have in-person classes. You can always check back to my website for my up-to-date schedule.
Q: Will you teach an online/in-person hybrid?
A: Possibly, we'll see as the pandemic ends and in-person classes can resume.
Q: Can you give me more personal feedback during Zoom classes?
A: I have a new setup with a large tv so I now see larger videos of you all. On your end, please look at your own video when you join the Zoom class to make sure you can see as much of yourself as possible. What you see is of yourself is what I see. Also its easier for me to see you if you have a plain background behind you.
Q: Will you teach beginners/weekend/early morning/evening/beach/park/longer classes? Can you give vetted references to other classes?
A: My regular weekly schedule is currently full and I will continue to teach workshops once a month on weekends. I do take your requests into consideration when I make schedule changes! In the meantime, if you are looking for online classes with other certified Iyengar teachers similar to my style, I suggest checking out local teachers Elise Miller, Janet MacLeod, Lori Neumann, Linda Bostrom, Lori Ritland and Karyn Bristol.
Q: Would you record your classes or make audio recordings available?
A: Maybe some day but in the meantime, I suggest the Fig Garden Yoga channel on You Tube. The teacher, Audrey Tan, is a friend of mine, who is also a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and her teaching style is similar to mine.
Q: Would you share a short list of favorite yoga books?
A: Sure! Here are a few: (top pick) Yoga the Iyengar Way by Silva, Mira & Shyam Mehta, Back Care Basics by Dr. Mary Pullig Schatz, Relax & Renew by Judith Lasater, Yoga for Osteoporosis & Yoga for Arthritis by Dr. Loren Fishman and Ellen Saltonstall and of course, Light On Yoga by BKS Iyengar.
Q: Would you give me assistance making a personalized home practice? Would you do a telephone conference to correct my bad habits?
A: Yes! I am available for private online sessions to help with both of these questions, send me an email and we can arrange a time.
Q: It feels like too much to pay for 2 people in the same household to attend a workshop.
A: Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about payments, I am flexible on this issue.
Q: Would you provide a list of favorite vegan recipes?
A: If you are on Facebook, I have a private group (meaning it doesn't show up in searches and only friends and friends of friends are in it) for vegan recipes. Just let me know if you are interested. Otherwise, send me an email and I'll send you a few favorites.... like the gnocchi spinach soup we just had for dinner!
